Do you have some creativity that is just itching to burst forth on the scene? If so, then the Paragon City Free Press needs you! We are currently seeking out contributors for this site. Whether your talent is art, fictional writing, wiki article writing, or just some darn good ideas, we can use you. You can contribute as much or as little as you want. You may rise to fame and glory or burn, baby, burn. Read on for more information!

The Paragon City Free Press is a role-playing newspaper that is a rival of the Paragon Times. The idea is to make City of Heroes more fun by providing more depth to the game. We are currently seeking submissions in any of the following areas:

Articles: Written as standard newspaper articles as if Paragon City were a real city. It greatly helps to read the background of the game and some of the existing articles in the Paragon Times, but if you prefer to write solely from your own experience in Paragon City, that's fine also. Articles should be informative and objective in tone, just as real newspaper articles are. They can be short or long, although if they’re very long and/or prosaic, they may fall into the Fiction category (see below) instead.

Columns: Frequent contributors will be invited to write a column. As a columnist, you will receive your own high-level menu that links directly to your material! Columns may be in a more informal tone than regular articles if the author wishes. Maybe they're even downright funny. Hey, it's your column, after all!

Fiction: This is where the pen really meets the paper. Whether you have a short story or a novel, if it's interesting, we can use it.

Art: Since the primary content creator of this site has a tough time drawing stickmen, this category of contributions is sorely lacking right now. (As in, there ain't none.) So if you submit early, you will have the place all to yourself until the site becomes popular!

Wiki Articles: So fiction has never been your thing but you've been around the block more than once in Paragon City? That's okay, we need non-fiction writers to submit articles in the wiki also!

Ideas: This site is still under heavy development and in addition to all of the above, we also need some good old-fashioned brain-storming. If you have an idea that will make this site or the game more fun, please drop an e-mail to me at or post a message in the forums.

Contributors to the Paragon City Free Press will be invited into the in-game supergroup, where we will engage in some serious hands-on investigative journalism by undertaking missions, task forces, and other activities. Membership into the in-game supergroup is limited exclusively to contributors, but the reverse is not true; participation in in-game activities and membership in the in-game supergroup is always purely optional.
