With all of the activity going on in Paragon City, it is sometimes
easy to forget events that are taking place in the rest of the world.
Recently, however, this has been nearly impossible with the devastation
of Hurricane Katrina, a tragedy that has transfixed the attention of
the entire world.
In a time like this, when so many people pull together to help a
city in crisis, the line between hero and ordinary citizen becomes
extremely blurred. The Paragon City Free Press highly encourages all of its readers to help out in any way possible.
The Cape Radio, a popular station in Paragon City, is sponsoring a charity event
on Saturday, September 17. Donations will be accepted and a charity
auction will be held for such items as artwork of your favorite Paragon
City hero, genuine handcrafted capes, and more.
Also, NCSoft, a videogame publisher with offices in Paragon City, is encouraging people to donate through the Network for Good, a charitable organization that coordinates donations to relief efforts.
And, of course, the American Red Cross desperately needs donations of money and blood to dedicate to this and other relief efforts.
Again, please consider helping out in any way possible. It’s an easy way for every reader to be a genuine hero.
